1. Download Windows SOFTWARE. or Apple SOFTWARE Download time is about 15-20 minutes on most connections.
Download the installer to your desktop or any designated folder such as "my documents".

2. Install.
In your downloaded area, you will find an icon called "dubcali.exe" for Windows or "macslip.dmg" for Apple.
Click the icon to start the installation procedure. Once the installation finishes
you may be prompted for a username and password. Sometimes Not.
Enter the your ETCRIER username and password.
To avoid having to keep entering your username and password each time,
ensure that the "Save Password" box is checked. The program name for HYPER Speed is "Slipstream"

3. Starting SlipStream.
SlipStream Web Accelerator is automatically started when your computer starts up.
Acceleration will begin as soon as a supported browser (such as Internet Explorer or Netscape)
or a supported email client (such as Microsoft Outlook Express or Eudora) is started.
On some OS platforms a bubble icon will appear when the SlipStream Service has been established.
On other OS platforms, you can verify that SlipStream Service has been established by
hovering over the SlipStream tray icon (you should see a "SlipStream Service Enabled..." message).

4. Using SlipStream.
change your dialing number from xxx.1895 to xxx.1897. If you have a Firewall, allow ports 5400, 7000 to pass.
Browse the web or download email as you normally would. Your web access or email access will be automatically accelerated by SlipStream Web Accelerator. click on the icon then settings to adjust for maximum speed.
If you desire to stop the application, select Stop SlipStream from the pop-up menu,
or if you desire to exit the application completely, click Exit from the pop-up menu.Proxy is the process by which your system goes to special sites to get web pages faster.
A setting in your browser has been changed to make this happen. Sometimes you might not want to use this feature.
games and some ecommerce sites don't support hyper speed dialup.
to turn off proxy when not in use or Double Click on slipstream and disable(browsers must be closed 1st.)
this will turn off proxy in the browser programs.
be sure to save old phone number when not using the HYPERSPEED option.

SLIPSTREAM HYPERSPEED DEFINED

The SlipStream SP solution enables ISPs, ASPs and Carriers to deliver data services over their existing dial-up and wireless networks at up to 5 times the normal speed.

Using our patented proprietary data compression technology, the SlipStream SP solution is able to increase the capacity of existing network infrastructure by significantly reducing bandwidth consumption. (2-8 times faster).

System Overview

The SlipStream Accelerator Server retrieves data from the requested external web server using a high-speed Internet connection, then compresses and optimizes the content for the last mile trip. The Accelerator Server optimizes the traffic over the HTTP, POP3 and SMTP protocols.

Most often, the Accelerator Server is located at the service provider's location, but with extensive testing it has been determined that even when Accelerator Servers are located in remote areas, great improvements in performance are still possible. This allows users to achieve dramatic acceleration even when they are not dialed into their own ISP locally.

The SlipStream platform is comprised of two components: a scalable, high-performance, configurable content acceleration server and a lightweight client software application.

These two components communicate over an accelerated bandwidth channel, resulting in significant performance gains and bandwidth requirement reduction.

System Compatibility
The SlipStream platform is compatible with all commercial caching products and Virtual Private Network (VPN) software. In addition, the SlipStream platform can be used to accelerate proprietary third-party web applications over the HTTP, POP3 and SMTP protocols.

Object Caching
The SlipStream platform incorporates transparent data caching capabilities to further enhance acceleration and reduce unnecessary upstream traffic. If needed, any commercial or proprietary caching product can be used to augment or replace this caching functionality.

Single-click Web Browsing
The SlipStream PC Client application allows single-click access to the Internet. The user is not required to configure any proxy settings or start multiple applications.

To launch the SlipStream solutions, end-users simply double-click on the SlipStream desktop icon. If desired, end-users can even access both the SlipStream web browser and a regular, non-accelerated web browser simultaneously.

Lightweight Design
The SlipStream PC Client installation is a lightweight, self-extracting, distributable package allowing fast web distribution of the product. The full-featured client application installer is less than 1MB (around 840KB). For mobile devices, a smaller client application is also available with approximately the same feature set.

Powerful User Controls
The SlipStream PC Client features powerful content customization options. This includes intuitive image quality management as well as content filtering capabilities.

Comprehensive Statistical Information
The SlipStream PC Client provides detailed information on the compression being achieved, in real-time. The information is provided for both downstream and upstream transactions, as well as specific compression rates for text (HTML), graphics and other types.

Compatibility with Existing Systems
The SlipStream platform works with existing distributed systems, enhancing the systems when speed or bandwidth become issues, but also allows certain "in-house" solutions to be directly accessed. This is done by way of a proxy exclusion list, and the listed sites do not get accelerated.

Full Windows Platform Support
The SlipStream PC Client installation runs on all major Microsoft Windows platforms, including Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000, NT and XP. For easier distribution the same end-user software package can be distributed to all Windows desktop platform users without modification.

A full-featured SlipStream client application is also available for Microsoft Windows CE mobile devices.
